by the square foot to coordinate with her slate tiles. She intermixed
tumbled
tiles into the mix for a gorgeous tile shower. A cost-effective
alternative to a solid leaf tile design.
This shower almost makes you feel like you are outside amongst the trees on a
leaf strewn path. A swirl effect on the shower floor creates the subtle movement
of water and leaf tiles going down the drain.

Another cost-effective ceramic tile tropical reef / fish design is
this tropical aquarium tile. It adds that special bit of color to your
tile shower / bathroom installations.
Here is a closer look at the tropical reef / fish bathroom tile shower.
It's packed with pretty tropical fish tiles, coral tiles, kelp tiles, shell
tiles, starfish tiles, and more. I especially like the front view clown
fish ceramic tile, new in 2011. It is shown dead center towards the
bottom of this ceramic tile tropical fish shower...too cute!

design is a mosaic water tile shower floor. The client tells me it was a
special order from Home Depot.

This beautiful custom ceramic tile shower floor lily pond was handmade
to coordinate with the clients blue field tiles. Muted lily pad ceramic tile
leaves blend nicely with the field tiles and yellow/orange fish
tiles and flower tiles are a nice contrast with the blue field
tiles as well.

There are numerous koi tiles, lotus flowers, a dragonfly and even a frog
jumping off of a lily pad in this design.

The picture below is another ceramic tile lily pond shower floor. This
tiled shower floor measures slightly over 3x3'.
The client sent us the four small tiles that are where the drain is
located to use as a color pallet. They also indicated that they wanted
white/blue lotus flower tiles, and yellow/pink lotus flower tiles.

This
ceramic tile heron / heron tile mural is in my own shower. It contains three
ceramic tile herons; one featured heron tile, one flying heron ceramic
tile, and one heron tile hiding in ceramic tile water iris'
and ceramic tile cattails.

This
unique ceramic tile mural is also partially three dimensional. The
ceramic tile rocks at the base of this decorative ceramic tile mural
protrude out about 1 and 1/2 inches. The four lily pad tiles are actually
shelves for a candlelight shower. I love it!
This tile mural contains 1/2" thick wavy ceramic
tile. I really like this tile design. It creates a smooth flowing,
soft effect that lends itself well to sky, land, or water. The horizontal lines
let the eye focus on the main elements in the decorative ceramic tile mural.
Also in this tile mural are two different ceramic
tile grout colors. When I design my decorative ceramic tile murals, I always
take into account the use of ceramic tile grout. It is more important than to
just fill in around the tiles. It can make or break a good design.
Notice how the light color grout deemphasizes the pale blue
sky tiles at the top of the mural, but as the sky tiles become a darker blue,
the color of the tiles becomes more apparent.
This is the opposite wall of my shower. The ceramic tile spa shower control
inset is a long narrow ceramic tile koi pond.

This ceramic tile koi stream is an excellent way to hide your spa shower
heads. The round ceramic tiles used in the tile water application
help to disguise the spa shower and brighten up your showering experience!
Also used in this application were custom glazed cove tiles. I bought
plain white coved ceramic tiles and overglazed them with Obsidian Black
glaze. It gave this tile shower a truly custom finish for a minimal cost.
The pictures below are of the matching bathroom/laundry ceramic tile floor
to the shower shown above. The ceramic tile grout color is a steel blue
and blends to grown at the pond edge. A 6' alligator ceramic tile hides
in a bed of lily pad ceramic tiles and spans the entire length of the
laundry center. To the right of the tile alligator is a stream with
numerous salmon that morphs from the ceramic tile pond and continues into
the bathroom area.

Don't let your ceramic tile shower floor imagination be limited by what
you see on our website or any other website. We can make nearly
ANY shower tile floor design. Here is
another ceramic tile shower pond with a different twist...a 3 foot,
ceramic tile alligator
and 18" terrapin turtle and babies, hiding amongst a bunch of lily pads. I call
it "Down the Drain."
Down the Drain
The 3 colors of grout gives the illusion of the main, ceramic tile
elements, spiraling down the drain. The outer edge of the tiled lily pond,
tile shower floor is grouted with a dark blue sanded grout, while the
lily pads have a green, ceramic tile grout, and the center of the tile
shower floor has a pale blue ceramic tile grout. Stepping into one
of Diane Holycross', Tiles with Style ceramic tile shower floors is like
stepping into another world. A peaceful oasis in your home, custom made to your
specifications and colors!
This is an example of a very cost effect, yet custom shower floor. This client
purchased about 5 or 6 large trout and interspersed them with rock tile sheets.
The addition of wavy water around the fish is also optional.

This is one of the coolest ceramic tile showers I've ever seen. It's not
only a ceramic tile shower stall, but a bath suite. Directly behind this
beautiful leaf tile shower floor is brushed chrome / stainless bathtub.
The tile leaf design on the ceramic tile shower floor was designed
based on the stained glass window behind it.
