"We sold our beach home and we are building a new one. Your artwork was one of the selling points of our last home." M Hays, Bridge City, TX

products: monochrome ceramic tile leaves

Decorative ceramic tile, custom hand made tile for unlimited possibilities

If you are looking for a natural, yet neutral ceramic tile leaf alternative, check out some of our monochrome ceramic leaf tiles. The ceramic leaves shown below have had their veins stained with a Mocha Fudge underglaze to match the travertine tile in this kitchen backsplash.

Another beautiful travertine leaf tile design was achieved by the use of 3 claybases. These leaf tiles use tan and off-white claybases that are marbled together to lend a stone-like appearance.

As you can see in the picture below, the leaves have a very stone-like appearance, but are actually a fully vitrified ceramic tile. Mocha Fudge stain was rubbed into the veins of these tile leaves to emphasize the leaves veins in these handmade ceramic tiles. A wonderful color match to this travertine stone tile. Thanks M. Christenson for the skillfully taken pictures!

This is one of my favorites. It is very similar to the ceramic tile leaf pictures above, but these tile leaves are stained with an underglaze called Buck Nake~d. Subtle shading for a very elegant, yet classic ceramic tile backsplash. We also can make the long thin border tiles.

Subtle, pure beauty is the only way to describe the gorgeous decorative ceramic tile leaves. Hints of airbrushed green and teal tones with forest green veins grace these these leaf tiles giving them a very cosmopolitan, classic feel. A perfect addition to any home.

This is another amazingly beautiful ceramic tile leaf floor design called Leaves in Stones. It was a small 3 SF leaf order, but it went a long way. It can be found on two separate bathroom ceramic tile / stone floors. These realistic leaf tiles have burgundy vein and a bit of light burgundy airbrushing for added dimension. This is one of my favorite ceramic tile glazing techniques. It adds such richness to the monochrome leaf tiles.

Comfrey, fig, oak, and fern tile leaves in rocks

The clay base is a cream ceramic tile base to add a hint of yellow/cream to the burgundy tile leaves. These ceramic tile leaves blend beautifully with the tile rocks used to highlight the tile leaves. Bang up job Nanci M. of Sacramento, California!

"I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE my tiles!!! Anyone who has ever come over says that it really makes our house seem special. I love going home after a long day at work. I can't help but to smile!!" Jules Thomas, Tokyo, Japan

Our tile leaves are made using real leaves. Just look at the veins in this blood root leaf that was used to make this leaf tile....amazing! Our leaf tiles are the most realistic ceramic tile leaves in the ceramic tile industry because of this design technique.

Tile leaves shown above are maple, cottonwood, clary sage, oak leaf hydrangea, hydrangea, oak, comfrey, blood root, and hosta leaf tiles. I like to use leaves with good vein structure for our monochrome leaf tiles. The stains in the veins are more predominant with good vein structure. Maples and oaks have weak structure but are popular.

Check out our NEW goldfish aquarium ceramic tile design and our tropical monochrome designs using the same monochrome glaze technique.

Another of my favorites is this monochrome ceramic tile leaves / leaf border It has subtle changes in tones. Lavender / gold / tans / beige / gray  — only in the ceramic tile leaf veins! Still classical, yet just a hint of color.

This is another beautiful monochrome-style leaf tile. It has mocha fudge in the veins and a blazing saddles airbrush technique to add interest to the leaf tiles.

The picture below is a fine example of a well-coordinated decor. Even the cat's monochrome coat matches these ceramic tile leaves and field tiles.

The picture above shows tan-based ceramic tile monochrome leaves. Most people opt for a white-based leaf tile, but, depending on their granite or field tile, it might be nicer to use a different clay base for a monochrome leaf tile. This creates a seamless transition between the field tiles and the leaf tiles, blending the countertop / floor / walls with the tile leaves.

Like all of our tiles, these tile leaves are fully vitrified to last for generations and can be used on walls, floors, showers, pools, and fountains. They are FULLY vitrified with a low porosity meaning they are also FROST-FREE.

These ceramic tile fireplace leaves are still considered monochrome, but are actually shaded, two toned leaf tiles. Half of the fireplace ceramic leaf tiles are Fur Ever Green with a Kermit Green airbrushed shading. It still provides a neutral / monochrome fireplace leaf ceramic tile feel, but a little more interest. The border ceramic tiles were also created by Tiles with Style and are generally done in a marbled effect using like colors + a hit of black.

The example below shows a multi-tonal blend that consists Oliveoyle, Indian Summer and Black that is tinged on the edge of the fireplace ceramic tile leaves. Still monochrome, but with some additional character.

These soft hues of color were used in a fireplace ceramic leaf tile motif for a kitchen tile backsplash. This tile leaf kitchen backsplash consists of a multitude of different ceramic leaf tiles that were underglazed with soft colors to match a 1"x1" stone kitchen backsplash tile. The leaf tiles were overglazed with a satin finish.

Very large maple leaf ceramic tiles adorn this ceramic tile hearth and ceramic tile shower backsplash. Great job Barb Bathanas!
