products: routed leaf tiles into wood

Decorative ceramic leaf tile design idea

You'll probably have some ceramic tile leaves left over from your order. This is a fun way to use them up...route the leaf tiles into a table top!

This green ceramic tile table idea was a garbage dump find. It was an old cedar slab table that was discarded at the local dump. The acrylic top had cracked and appeared to be no longer useful. I couldn't resist dragging it out and refinishing it.

Steps to make your old table new again!

Refinish your table, floor, chair, etc.

Take your leaf tiles and trace around them onto the wood surface with a permanent marker. Then take a round saw like a RotoZip, set it to the thickness of your tile(s) and route away the space.

Once the hole is complete, take a silicone caulk and set the tiles. I backfilled around my leaves with a stained wood putty, just like grout.

Apply your favorite sealer...polyurethane, paste wax, oil, etc. and you have a gorgeous finished piece.

Contact us to order your custom ceramic tile.
