You get the artists layout for a $10 more per square foot upcharge and it saves you $$$ in installation costs. This clear, plastic film from Mesh Mount Paper Company holds each handmade ceramic tile firmly in place and is EXTREMELY strong. Let the tiles set up per the instructions on your thin set or mortar, then pull back the heavy, clear plastic film from Mesh Mount Paper Company, and poof, a beautifully, professional, mosaic ceramic tile installation made easy...just like magic!

What you get...

Your decorative handmade ceramic tiles will be artistically laid out in our studio by the artist and owner of Tiles with Style, Diane H. Holycross. The decorative tiles will be film mounted with a special mosaic tile film and numbered or lettered as shown below.

When the decorative handmade ceramic tiles arrive, put the pieces together next to the area where the install is planned, as shown above. I usually lay them in place to make sure they fit, just as a precaution.

Apply your thin set or mastic, depending on the installation. Carefully lay the pieces in place as shown in the picture below.

NOTE: DO NOT press the tile sheets into place until all sections are installed, you might need to move one.

Always use a float tool to lightly tap the tiles into place to level the tiles to one another — you don't want to be tripping over uneven tiles!

Let the mounted pieces dry for 24 hours, then peel back the film to reveal the tiles, as shown in the picture below.

Apply the grout with a float. Let the grout set up for 15 - 20 minutes. Then wipe back with a sponge being careful not to pull away the grout between the tiles. If the grout easily pulls away, let it cure a bit longer and wipe again.

Once the grout dries, invite your best friends over to see and feel your new decorative ceramic tile floor!
