porcelain blue mosaic tiles trout salmon fish

Example of a rustic sliced pebble and porcelain mosaic tile fish stream

This is an EXCELLENT example of time well spent on selecting materials and creative design planning. Our clients, Marsha and Janet of Littleton, Colorado, are showing creativity at it's finest. They are using several different materials to create a rock / pebble / stone shower, mountain stream design and installation.

What a fabulous oasis / organic tile design for a shower after a long day at work. You'd never want to come out back into the real world. Beautiful, beautiful!

Yes, you can even use our trout fish tiles in a castle bathroom. Look at this great shower, polished pebble tile installation. Thank you Brian Whelan from Castle Pook, Cork Ireland.

This is example of a CUSTOM client installation using Pagoda Green and Apache (not stocked) trout fish ceramic tiles. This was a custom order. We are currently not doing any small customer orders at this time. They must exceed $500, we just get too many requests.

This an example of a previous CUSTOM colors; Apache trout and Pagoda Green trout shaped mosaic tiles.

Can I hear anyone say WOW! The addition of some fish-shaped tiles can make an ordinary shower / bathroom rock floor stream team with life. Never be bored again with a simple stone floor, when you can add fish / trout shaped tiles to your next bathroom floor remodel.

Check out this fun, step-in bathtub, complete with it's own rock for a step. I absolutely love it sitting on the pebble rock floor complete with trout fish tiles. Now that's creative! Great job T. Risser!

Most of our trout are available in 6", 8", 10" & 12" and are ready to ship.

Another customer installation. Green Agate with Rare Earth fin fish tiles in pebble tiles.

brown trout

I currently have 4 versions of Brown Trout fish ceramic tiles. These are SHAPED tiles; NOT square.

Each fish has a slightly different bend to the tails; some are more curved that others. This lends to a more realistic looking rock stream floor.

Sizes available are 6", 8", 10", & 12" (approximately).

top view trout fish shaped mosaic ceramic tiles

Please note that the two fish shown on the right have a darker green back than what is currently stocked (11/16/16). The dark green has been discontinued by the manufacturer and I had to mix a custom color.

Below are Cappuccino Mint, green-backed trout shaped ceramic tiles for your rock, pebble, and tile floors.

When ordering the white-based Cappuccino Mint trout, please note that there is a slight variation in green tones. They still look wonderful mixed together. Just like in nature; no two fish are identical.

New in 2018! Wild Brown Trout Fish Tiles

These are a limited supply for now. I'll be adding tiny brown flecks to the body and fins when this batch is sold.

I think they are beautiful as-is!

handmade decorative ceramic tile trout fish

Sometimes beauty happens by accident. This box of clay was just that; an accident. It was labeled one thing, but resulted in something different.

At first, I was disappointed after opening the kiln to find out the manganese was not in the mix. It's normally like CHRISTmas morning with unexpected presents, but this day was a dud; or at least I thought so. The tiny speckles that I expected to see, didn't appear after the base-tiles were fired...argh!

Conundrum...what to do with a days work gone a rye? Why of course, find the blessing in all the dysfunction. There is ALWAYS one there, if you only ASK, SEEK, and KNOCK it out.

Here are a few pictures showing the new Wild Trout shaped, mosaic fish tiles on some different type of shower rocks. They seem to look great with nearly every color sliced pebble tile on the market.

These are what is called micro-pebble / micro pebbles. They are much easier to stand on than the larger polished pebbles that people sometimes use on floors.

If you are wanting that "fish stream" look and feel in your shower floor, blue green sliced pebble tiles are perfect. You can use these stone tiles in your showers to create an entire pond, or create a stream in blue green sliced pebbles and surround it with tan sliced pebbles to create the shoreline. Either way, my wild trout shaped mosaic tiles are a perfect color combination that add peace and tranquility to your sliced pebble shower floors, or ANY floor for that matter!

As you can see, the ideas are endless, you just have to choose your own unique journey, and eventually you come to your perfect destination; not that of the masses.

Now let's take a look at Cappuccino Mint on a tan clay base. As you can see, the glaze color isn't as rich-looking, rather more tan than gold-tone. It's deeper, darker color; not vibrant. This color also works with sea green sliced pebbles.

Client installation

Our client, Patricia  opted for a few lily pads, a turtles and 1 square foot of leaves to be added to her trout shaped fish tiles. I'm particularly fond of her stone choice.

NEW for 2018 and a HOT, HOT, HOT seller!

These are my Cutthroat trout fish tiles. A golden tan, speckled clay base, was used in the creation of these mosaic tile fish. Agate Green is the body color, with a tiny bit of a pink added to the edges of the body.

The hand-carved fins allow a Transparent Pearl glaze to settle into the grooves, creating a white effect, adding more visual depth to overall design. Just beautiful!

cutthroat trout fish shaped mosaic ceramic tiles

Beautifully soft and flowing; green, pink, and tan/sand tonedm cutthroat trout fish tiles look wonderful with "like-colors" or soft green and tan micro pebble stones, sliced pebble rocks, or polished pebble tiles. They create such a peaceful combination.

Our stock in the stream is GONE. More coming in a few weeks.

cutthroat trout fishtiles in micro pebbles

Your grout color is what will make the fish either "pop," or be subtle in the stones. If you use a light-colored grout against a darker fish body, the fish show up more, and create a very "clean" look and feel to your floors.

cutthroat trout sliced pebble shower fish tiles

This is an example of my cutthroat trout, mosaic fish tiles in a dark ocean pebble shower floor. I personally love the subtle, earth, warm look having "like colors." Once again, it's the grout color that makes the difference. This charcoal gray grout works nice with the lighter fin color of the cutthroat trout fish tile and creates a more rustic look and feel.

cutthroat trout fish ceramic tiles

TWO, 8" right-facing, two-part cutthroat trout mosaic ceramic tiles are available in stock. These create the realistic look of one fish swimming under another.

If you prefer our salmon fish tile body shape in a similar color as Rainbow trout, check out the Steelhead salmon fish tiles on our Salmon page. The Steelhead salmon fish, is actually a freshwater trout fish that migrates during spawning to saltwater. It is then called a Steelhead salmon.

Blue cutthroat trout fish tiles

This is my current stock of cutthroat trout fish tile colors. Blue is shown left and a greenish fish is shown to the right. More are in production that should look like the above pictures for green cutthroat trout. Just a slight temperature change of 5 degrees in a 1880 degree kiln can alter a glaze color.

Blue (left) and a greenish (right cutthroat trout fish tiles

My blue cutthroat trout fish ceramic tiles work nicely with gray, tan, sea green, and neutral sliced pebble tiles.

Because blue and yellow make green in the color spectrum, the blue cutthroat trout tiles work nicely.

Fireflies trout shaped mosaic tiles

Another popular new color for 2018 is Fireflies. I use this glaze color on three different clay-bases for subtle color changes within fish schools.

sliced polished micro pebble fish ceramic tiles

Fireflies on a white and a tan clay-base. You can purchase these mixed white/tan, or all white, or all tan in 6", 8", 10", & 12" left- and right-facing. Cone 5 firing blends the yellow crystals and the navy blue blue flecks, creating a teal-tone. Just beautiful, and just enough color to get a bit of a water effect.

Fireflies is a tan, gray, black, and gold fish tile color that looks wonderful with the following sliced pebble tiles for your shower floors.

sliced polished micro pebble mosaic ceramic tile fish

Note: these were fired hotter, causing the blue and yellow crystals to blend together more than the pictures shown below.

When you use "like" color stones, the fish will be subtle in their appearance.

Charcoal gray, sliced pebble tile with Fireflies trout fish tiles for shower and bathroom floors shows a more subtle range of grays; de-emphasizing the fish tiles a bit.

All fish show up quite well after the grout is installed. If you want the fish to "pop," you would use a charcoal gray grout to blend the stones together. If you want the stones to be the center of attention, you would want to use a dark charcoal or a much lighter grout color.

When you use a lighter color tan sliced pebble, the trout fish tiles will pop out a bit. The picture below shows tan sliced pebbles. I really like mixing tan with gray tones. They have a more modern or clean look and feel.

Fireflies, trout fish ceramic tiles, over tan sliced pebble tiles ,still provides a more neutral tone shower floor installation, and makes the gray tails stand out a bit more than a light gray sliced pebble.

A gray or charcoal sliced pebble tile emphasis' the fish color, but de-emphasis' the tail and fin tones.

Fireflies trout on gray sliced pebble stones makes the trout fish tiles blend in a bit more than a tan stone.

These are all the things you want to consider when picking your slice pebble tiles and fish shaped mosaic tiles for your shower floors.

Gold sliced pebbles also look wonderful with the Fireflies trout fish ceramic tiles. They have little gold flecks of color.

Fireflies on gold sliced pebble tiles is very striking, making the trout fish tiles stand out more on your shower and bathroom ceramic tile or stone tile floors.

Check out my email for SEA BASS & SEA TROUT for a neutral-toned (gray, white, and black trout).

Rainbow trout fish tiles

I personally like to mix my colors together. This is our Tiles with Style sliced dark ocean pebble tile shower bench seat and floor installation. Not all fish look identical in a stream and color depth varies by the depth of the fish in the water.

One design idea I prefer, is to cut my fish in 2-pieces; make them overlap. This creates a natural looking stream as one fish swims beneath another fish.

dark ocean pebbles with trout fish ceramic tiles

If you look closely, you'll also see that I used my BROWN and BLACK backed rainbow trout tiles in conjunction with my GREEN AGATE with Rare Earth fin trout fish ceramic tiles. The rainbow trout use the same color as their base color, so all look fabulous together; in a magnanimous way; of course!

The fish shaped RAINBOW trout tiles below have green and brown tones, with a hint of pink and red on the sides; gray fins.

Another design idea, is to create movement by placing two fish tiles of different sizes and directions together; the smaller fish tile behind the larger fish tile on your sliced pebble floor designs.

More design ideas and facts can be found under the FAQs in the right, green column .

Our stock in the stream is GONE. We will not have any until July 25, 2018

As you can see, the BLACK backed rainbow trout fish ceramic tiles for your sliced pebble shower floors are a little more "dramatic," without losing their natural organic, realistic fish tile appeal. They are not quite as "soft" in appearance compared to my BROWN back trout fish tiles.

blue/green trout tiles

I released this new line of blue & green trout fish ceramic tiles in the Fall of 2017. They were originally created for a large, memorial trout tile stream order for a funeral home. I like the colors a lot, because they add a little more "pop" to your trout rock stream designs, and create a more inviting, energetic feel to your shower floors.

WOW! This is one of the nicest uses of stone in a multitude of forms in a rock shower. Our client Renee used sliced pebbles, larger river rocks, travertine, and slab stone to create one of the most beautiful stone showers I've ever seen. Renee purchased some lily pad leaf tiles and numerous trout shaped mosaic fish tiles to integrate into her stone shower design.

stone rock travertine slice pebble fish stream shower

This shower is like walking outside into your own personal waterfall, secret garden. The larger river rocks create beautiful columnar focal points and weight to this unique and creative water-themed shower.

The edge of the travertine continues with a natural theme; oppose to just ending the wall tiles with a straight line. A few decorative plants bring more of nature into the shower experience.

Renee agrees with me, it seems to take longer to take a shower in such beauty. You just don't want to come out!

The picture below shows three different colors of blue/green trout shape fish tiles:

  • Mountain Moss/Szechwan Green with BLACK backs (mid-toned).
  • Blue Green Gray with BLACK backs (darkest).

mix of three colors of blue green in various sizes

Mountain Moss with Szechwan Green fin and BLACK backs

Mountain Moss with Szechwan Green is a soft shade of a blue/green gray tone. The fins as a very soft green/gray color; not gray. The BLACK backs make them more striking; not subtle like the BROWN blacks.

Mountain Moss trout shaped fish tiles with a pale BROWN back are a subtle looking trout tile for sliced pebble shower floors. It's what I'd call a grayish blue with green mossy splotches, and would look great with dark ocean pebbles or any other gray/blue/green rocks.

The picture above is an excellent shot of how your pebble tiles should appear when installed; SEALED, prior to and after installation. If they are not sealed prior to installation, a haze will imbed itself into the stones from the mortar and grout.

rainbow trout with black backs

My favorite Rainbow Trout shaped ceramic tiles are what I call "limited edition." They look nice with nearly any sliced pebble stone and have a splash of pink/red on the sides.

It's NOT necessary to order round water tiles from me, or use a porcelain mosaic tile to simulate water. This is a WONDERFUL example of using two different color stones to simulate water and shoreline of a trout stream. It saves you money to put elsewhere in your shower.

Another cost savings ideas is to use the same rock throughout; assuming you get a good deal on it. Then you can purchase some green or blue cement pigment to add to your grout to create a water look.

Thank you P. Carter for the wonderful rainbow trout fish tile bathroom/shower floor installation.

Ms. Carter's installation also shows the use of a handicap shower drain. It creates a seamless, level floor from the shower to the bathroom. This makes it simple to roll a shower wheelchair into.

I suggest that prior to ordering that you print out a fish tile off this page, and enlarge or reduce it, to the sizes that you think you might need. Place them on the floor, flipping them left and right, until you like the pattern.

It talks about the different types of spiritual travel we do out of our "organic body suits," during what you might think as "dream-time."

I'm not only a master of handmade tiles, but also a master of inter-dimensional travel, day-dreams, astral projection, dream walking, and much more!

The Higher CHRIST Self; Emmanuel, asked me a number of years ago to keep a journal of my "adventures," and write a book about it, because, "The whole world will read your book." His words; not mine.

So, if you are starting to experience some unusually vivid dreams, perhaps talking to loved ones in Heaven,  frightening dreams, flying out of your body, astral projecting, dream walking, experiencing deja-vu, synchronicities or coincidences, during the time this "Great Awakening," or Ascension of our planet, please check out my book on inter-dimensional travel.
