• gloss glaze colors — both transparent colors and opaque colors.

• satin / matt glaze colors — a flat to slight shine on the tile glaze.

• art glaze colors — a unique blends of ceramic tile colors

• crystal glaze colors — a unique blend of tiny glass crystals to create an unusual blend of tile colors

• metallic glaze colors — metal tones such as pewter, silver, etc.

• crackle glaze colors — numerous tiny fractures in the glaze, create an aged appearance. This glaze is really only suitable for walls.

Don't give up on us now! If you still don't see what you are looking for in a ceramic tile glaze color, we can do some interesting glaze combinations, use medium and high fire glaze colors, and change clay-base colors!

Here is an example of how colors change when applied to a different ceramic tile clay base. This is a brown color palette.

The third ceramic tile glaze, from the left, on the bottom, is the chosen ceramic tile color of this study. It's called "Carmel Gloss." It's fired on a white clay-base. It has a cream/tan tone.

This square brown ceramic tile is a cream clay-base with a Carmel Gloss ceramic tile glaze. It's actually a matt/satin tile finish. I don't know why the manufacturer calls it a "gloss."

This ceramic tile dog track is the same glaze, "Carmel Gloss" that was applied on a gorgeous brown-base ceramic tile medium-fire clay. The finished products show NO resemblance to the white- or cream-based clays, yet it is the SAME ceramic tile glaze.

This is how we can take one color glaze and get three different colors from the same glaze. We can also modify the firing temperatures to change the color and finish.
