Each hand made tile is painstakingly crafted using white, red, or marbled low-fire clays with bits of nature as their theme. Tiles are hand-rolled and hand-glazed, so that no hand made tile has the appearance of being manufactured. Constant attention to detail is placed on design as well as layout, for completely planned installations.

This elegant kitchen / stove ceramic tile backsplash is shown in a monochrome leaf tile design. It was created from our multiple-ordering client Cynthia Engler of San Jose, California. Cynthia is a designer. As you can see, she created a beautiful leaf-shaped ceramic tile stove top backsplash and backsplash ceramic tile border with a more contemporary feel. These leaf tiles are a white clay with a tan stain to bring out the veins in the leaf ceramic tiles.

This custom kitchen backsplash features a design for the cook that enjoys herbs:

• A ceramic sage leaf tile border runs the entire circumference of the room along the backsplash and kitchen countertops.
• The kitchen backsplash and center island contain various ceramic hand made herb tiles.
• The neutral-colored sandstone glaze used on these decorative ceramic tiles to compliment the 1,100 year old river recovered swamp cypress flooring. This wood flooring can be purchased at Heartwood Associates.

The Sterling family of Scarsdale, N.Y. wasn't interested in the "plain vanilla" kitchen that was commonly found in today's marketplace. Michael had the idea of a tropical fish tile kitchen. Working with the client, we came up with this awesome tropical fish tile / coral reef tile design.
